2026 is giving us Aang squared. Not only did Netflix give us Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 in late June, but now Paramount+ returns to its popular animated franchise with Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender.

The title is only slightly changed, but the difference between the two stories is huge. In the latter, it's been 13 years since the gang defeated Lord Ozai and the Fire Nation, and attentions have turned to a new airbender called Tagah.

Together, Aang and Tagah embark on a global quest to find the relic before a group called The Denied. But, will they succeed — and when does Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender arrive on Paramount+?

Unlike the original series, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is actually a feature-length film. Clocking in with a runtime of 99 minutes, that's roughly the equivalent of four episodes of the original series.

For those who want to watch it on the big screen, it's also getting a theatrical release. However, only select theaters in New York and Los Angeles will be showing it between July 24 and 30. You'll need to be quick, then, to secure your tickets to experience it during its limited run in cinemas.
